The Dora the Explorer and Friends magazine is magnificent! I can see how my daughter will get much more into this magazine when she gets a little bit older, but she already enjoyed looking at the colorful and busy pages. I received 3 issues of the magazine: October and November/December 2010, and March/April 2011 (the cover of the March/April 2011 issue is pictured below) to review. All of the issues had free stickers in them, my daughter still hasn’t exhausted the supply because although there are plenty of free stickers in each; the October 2010 issue has 70 free stickers in it!!!!
Ever since my mother-in-law bought my daughter a Dora the Explorer doll when she was much younger; she’s been into Dora. She recognizes the character, and although she isn’t able to fully engage in the countless stories, puzzles, and fully comprehend prizes that are in these magazines yet, she enjoys them simply because “Dora!” is all over the magazine; and she gets to follow through the illustrations what Dora is doing with her various friends. She really has enjoys looking at them, and she is “chock full” of stickers whenever she gets into them. There are still loads of stickers left, and we’ve had these magazines for over a month.
These magazines have art projects (i.e. a hat to cut out and color in the November/December 2010 issue) coloring pages, writing practice (trace over the dots to form letters) and even pictures you can put on your child’s wall! If your little one is a fan of Dora the Explorer, these magazines are a MUST have.
