For a fresh approach to sandwiches, “fresh” is used with more than just the meaning of “different” as these sandwiches taste so fresh, and they are meant to, as they are brought to you with ingredients that come straight from the farm.
Nice. Right? My 2 year old and I thought so. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Mendocino Farms’ new location in West Hollywood last week for a pre-opening taste opportunity. I loved the Drunk’n Goat in Paris, a sandwich which consists of Herbs de Provence marinated Drake Family Farm’s goat cheese, cranberry chutney, French brie, caramelized onions, green apple and Scarborough Farm’s greens on cranberry walnut bread. Doesn’t that sound delicious? Well, it was! Although there were a couple of little kiddie treats, like pb&j sammies (with apple slices!) there, my daughter loved the pesto pasta salads!
I think this place is a great new addition to that area, and awesomely kid friendly too. Try it out when you are in the neighborhood, or make a trip out of it. You won’t be disappointed! Their address: 7100 Santa Monica Blvd. (at La Brea Ave.) West Hollywood, CA 90046
Mendocino Farms has two other locations in the downtown area, as well as one in Marina Del Rey.
