My daughter’s Birthday is fast approaching, her party is next Sunday. We’re almost ready; I am still haggling with the cost of her cake, though I have found a great bakery and I’m hoping they will do the cake. I’ve bought the favors, plates, etc. The caterer is almost squared away; since the party is not going to be huge (I still do not have all the R.S.V.P.s and some people have even changed their mind(!)) the caterers don’t require a large number of days notice. I am a little bummed, because I wanted other babies to be there, I was going to have 2 babies and a possible third (her age– there will be older kiddies there) now, it’s a definite 1, possibly 2. *Sigh* I just hope it will be a fun party.
I will be a Princess theme… all pink and very girlie.
Thank you, Ember. Ember’s blog is Remember Ember. The truth is without readers a blog is lifeless– and having readers who like what they read is the cat’s pajamas; well… I’m just glad someone likes my blog!

I especially love to ‘window shop’ for some great paintings. My favorite site is http://www.cheapoilpainting.com/, their variety of paintings always seems to bring a smile to my face.
I’m passing this award on to the following blogs (this is always a tough choice)
Enjoy the award ladies!
I received some bottles of Pomwondefrul pomegranate juice in the mail from the lovely people at Pomwonderful. I love that stuff! Not only does it taste immensely good, but it’s good for you. Now, that doesn’t happen very often (not for me, anyway). I tend to love stuff that’s horrible for me! She types, as she munches on a piece of Angel Food cake. There is so much flavor in just one sip of the stuff, you can taste and savor the very concentrated pomegranate flavor. Yum!
So, I’ve been drinking pomegranate juice and loving every minute. Pomwonderful also have recipes on their site– and I think I may try one of them, one of these days.
Check them out when you have a chance!
I finally decided to buy Huggies Little Movers diapers; we’ll see how these work out.
Read more about the diaper saga here.
In my quest for another diaper, I also discovered Pampers Premium Absorbency– has anyone ever used these? They might be next on my list, if the Huggies don’t work out.
Has anyone used Pampers Overnight diapers (or any other overnight diapers for that matter)? So far, I’ve just been using the same diaper day and night; which had been working fine. I’m just curious as to what everyone’s experiences are with the (so many) different diapers out there.
It’s been a little while since my last post. I’ve been keeping busy with my little princess. She’s had a full week, consisting of lots of play dates (and mamma dates) it’s been fun; but I must admit we are pooped.
My little munchkin has 3 teeth; they all sort of came at once (this happened about two weeks ago, but I never wrote about it here) they are all bottom teeth; hubby and I were wondering when she was going to get them in, as many of her little friends (almost all, in fact) already have them. This is so exciting! She looks soooo cute when she smiles!
I’ve been busy planning her Birthday party, and it’s a lot of work. I still haven’t heard from all the guests, I hope all RSVPs will roll in soon; I need a head count! I also haven’t found a cake; I have the exact design that I want, but I need to find a baker who will do it for a reasonable price.
This is an exercise that I would like to do, and I hope that some of you will do it with me. People say when you visualize something it’s easier to achieve it. Well, this is sort of the idea. Where do you see your blog?
“Stay At Home Mom”, what does it mean to you?
Last week, I decided to go, with my precious angel, to this bakery to see about getting a cake made for her upcoming Birthday. Anyway, we were sitting down with the owner/baker/cake designer, looking through pictures of cakes– does anyone else watch Cake Boss ?? I love those cake decorating shows; which is why I know exactly what kind of cake I want for her Birthday. Anyway– back to the point; the man says to me “You stay at home with the baby?” “Are you bored?” I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I was offended by his comment. Am I bored? He obviously has no idea what raising a child and running a home is like. Maybe I am just taking this a little too personally. Anyway, we are not getting the cake from this particular bakery (and I am glad we aren’t) though this isn’t due to the comment he made; it’s due to the fact that it’s too expensive.
Being a stay at home mom is challenging and I think there is a perception by those who haven’t experienced this, that you ‘do nothing’. At least that’s the way I see it. I don’t ‘do nothing’, in fact my days are quite full. Maybe I miss working/my job a lttle bit (I am looking for part-time work, but haven’t found anything yet). I was not happy with the comment this man made.
I would love to hear what other SAHMs have to say. Do you think I’m jaded? I would say maybe I was having a bad day, but still think that’s a sucky thing to say, today– so that can’t be it.
More about making macarons http://www.bakerella.com/macarons/
Just look at these pictures.
I am just obsessed. I have gotten up the nerve, I am making them this weekend; in fact I am going to age the egg whites from tonight.
